Nevsky Russian Restaurant
Experience the delights of Russia and Eastern Europe with traditional fare and the culinary extravagance of the Tsars.
T
he restaurant is named after the famous main boulevard of Saint Petersburg, Nevsky Prospekt - home of our Chef and a magnificent city of culture, architecture and history. Fully licensed, Nevsky will impress with our range of premium and flavoured vodkas, cocktails, wines and imported beers.
Russian cuisine has influences from Finland, many of the former states of the USSR and the Tartars . From the time of Catherine the Great, every family of influence imported both the products and personnel — mainly French and Austrian — to bring the finest, rarest and most creative foods to their table. Russian cusine is therefore soulful, elegant, subtle, refined and decadent. Many dishes that are considered in the West to be traditionally Russian actually come from the Franco-Russian cuisine of the 18th and 19th centuries.
Downstairs is a la carte & banquet dining around an open fireplace, whilst upstairs specialises in functions offering a choice of set Russian-style share menus. With seating for up to 60 guests, we provide complimentary pre-drinks to start your sit-down event on the just the right note.
