A tremendous night out. Fresh, interesting and delicious food, and plenty to eat. Service was attentive and friendly, with a great atmosphere. Already planning a return visit.

Went to Nevsky Russian Restaurant last night and the food was wonderful. We shared the duck liver pate -the best I've had for a long time - very creamy and gorgeous delicate flavour(if that's possible when eating liver). My partner and I decided on the same main course -the roast rack of lamb. It was really good - pink and tender and seasoned just right. The wines were good. We're not vodka drinkers but there is an extensive list of vodkas and associated cocktails if that is your thing. What can I say...it was good, good, good, good.... We will be back; I intend to work my way through every item on the menu over autumn and winter. The salmon is next...

Thank you again for making our presentation dinner a success. All the feedback from the night was positive. Everybody thought the food was fantastic. The service was well-timed and friendly and you went out of your way to accomodate our needs.

Waitress was very helpful and very knowledgable about the menu. She suggested the banquet so we could try many of the items on the menu. She explained in simple terms what the Russian foods were.  She kept in contact with us all night, discussing the foods, and seeing how were were progressing.  Restaurant was clean and uncluttered. Food serving was on time, without being slow, but also allowed time between courses to chat. Another high point.

Being locals we had strolled past Nevsky on several occasions and were itching to sample Russian cuisine. We had heard positives about the restaurant and wanted to give it a shot. We ended up going for Valentines Day and had a fantastic evening; a very romantic setting (perfect for first date), rustic and charming decor and a fantastic banquet on offer (extremely well priced). Service spot on and great touch with the Russian (or so I believed!) waitresses.. their broken English really amplified the experience and can never understand when restaurant goers complain about this. Food turned out to be amazing and were absolutely full to the brim after the meal washed down with good wine and great Russian Beers. Oh, forgot to mention to guy playing on the air piano - fantastic touch. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Re: Orient Express & Grand Hotel Europe event at Nevsky
The response I received after the event on Tuesday was that everything was wonderful. The food was great, the staff most helpful and we look forward to rebooking next year, was the response from the GM from Russia.
